The Student Activities Office monitors and offers support for activities in the schools. If you have an idea for an after-school activity, please contact your school or contact the Student Activities Office.

Yearly District-wide Events Organized by Student Activities:

• Spelling Bee (grades 5-8)
• Chess tournament (grades 1-12)
• 5th and 6th grade math competitions
• History Day (grades 6-12)
• Double Dutch Challenge (grades 4-8)
• 4th and 5th grade leadership workshop

The district also has two student government groups:

• High School Citywide Student Government
• Middle Level Citywide Student Government

In addition to coordinating district-wide activities and Citywide Student Government, the Student Activities Office provides leadership training to schools. This can include helping start school student councils, offering leadership workshops or organizing overnight retreats.
